The year 2001 was a very historic year with reference to the modern economic and socio-political scenario around the globe. The phenomenal changes took place this year alone and every passing year, even today are unprecedented. In future, historians will always try to figure out the reasons of these significant changes which truly create a new world order in every sense of the word. We at Filmic Excellence know only one reason for the significance of year 2001, FILMIC EXCELLENCE came into being this year. A film production company, with the vision to gain excellence in filmmaking weather it’s a TV commercial, Branded Video, Documentary, Docu-Drama, Tele-Film, TV Show, TV Play, Feature Film or any other form of creative expression through lights, camera & action. During the passing years, Filmic Excellence has gone through a lot of thick & thins of time, has seen many bad lights, experience over exposure, NG Takes, Time & Budget constrains, Drop frames, unrealistic deadlines, and what not…But at Filmic Excellence we believe that this is the real Utopia of Filmmaking. Once you go through all this & learn how to deal with it, the rest is the bed of roses, which is every aspiring filmmaker’s dream. Our show reel proves that every new project is a challenge for us, the bigger the challenge the better it takes out of us. We know the show must goes on, and so does our journey continues, in search of Filmic Excellence, by the Filmic Excellence.
THE DIRECTOR
Faiq Iltoz Awar is the owner & Director of Filmic Excellence. Having background of Arts & Literature & working knowledge of 3-D graphics & animation, Faiq is a freelance director serving the industry for more then two decades in different capacities. Started his career in media as 3-D animator in 1994, Faiq switched to filmmaking in 1997 and joined one of the leading film production company SERVERS as production executive. After working for two years Faiq move on to gain ad agency experience and work in some ad agencies & then joined YPRODUCTIONS another commercial production company as Assistant director in 1999. As freelance director Faiq worked with Servers, YProductions, Media Idee, Creative Headquarter , DreamTeamFilms, Nexus Productions, H2O Films, 29 – One Productions, Manduck Collective, Odho Productions etc. In September 2001, Faiq started his own film production company “Filmic Excellence”, and the show is still running house full. Apart from numerous TV commercials, Branded Videos & Brand Activations, some of Faiq’s other creative explorations are: *Conceived, Written, Produced & Directed a short film “Sai – e – Raigan” for 2nd Kara Film Festival. *As producer for special projects, launched “Bankay Mian ki Qawwali” for Express news and produced more then 150 episodes. *Produced and directed poetry recitals “Rekhta” for AAG TV. *Produced & directed Documentary on squash legend Jahangir Khan, “Jazba-e-Junoon” for GEO Super. *Directed 26 episodes of reality TV show “Khauf” for HUM TV. *Directed 42 episodes of advertising & marketing based show “Brand Watch” for ARY Digital. *Produced & directed Play “Bawoli Larki” in series Piyar Kahani for GEO. *Directed Tele Film “Aazadi” in tele films series “GUM” for ARY Digital. *Directed Sports show “Oval to Oval” for Geo Super.
